OUR PURPOSE:

*To provide medical or infant support to any indigenous wild animal in need of assistance and release it into suitable wild habitat once care is completed.*

*To refrain from imprinting the animal to its human caretakers during its stay in captivity*

*To educate the public about wild animals in our area and teach a genuine appreciation and respect of their needs and characteristics*

*To educate ourselves in the care and needs of each species that we experience so that all animals receive complete, professional and individual care*

*To maintain our facility in the most stringent of cleaning and organizational standards to prevent errors, disease, infection and hazards to both humans and animals*

*To ALWAYS respond with patience when faced with ignorance and remember that not all the world has seen through our eyes or cared with our hands*

*To lend assistance, instruction or advice to anyone trying to assist a wild animal in need of care.

*To NEVER cage a wild animal a day longer than necessary, and always euthanize if release will never come*

*Let our desire for their freedom be the strongest motivation that brings us here*

I am an Animal Rescuer
My job is to assist God's creatures
I was born with the need to fulfill their needs
I take in new family members without plan, thought or selection
I have bought dog food with my last dime
I have patted a mangy head with a bare hand
I have hugged someone vicious and afraid
I have fallen in love a thousand times
and I have cried into the fur of a lifeless body
I have Animal Friends and friends who have animal friends
I dont often use the word "pet"
I notice those lost at the road side
And my heart aches
I will hand raise a field mouse
And make friends with a vulture
I know of no creature unworthy of my time
I want to live forever if there arent animals in Heaven
But I believe there are
Why would God make something so perfect and leave it behind
We may be master of the animals,
But the animals have mastered themselves
Something people still haven't learned
War and Abuse makes me hurt for the world
But a rescue that makes the news gives me hope for mankind
We are a quiet but determined army
And making a difference ever day
There is nothing more necessary than warming an orphan
nothing more rewarding than saving a life
No higher recognition than watching them thrive
There is no greater joy than seeing a baby play
who only days ago, was too weak to eat
I am an Animal Rescuer
My work is never done,
My home is never quiet
My wallet is always empty
But my heart is always full
In the game of life, we have already won

"Kiara" the cougar was a Department seizure case that I took in. She was brutally declawed and neglected, coming to me hungry, vicious and hurting. OVER THAT! Big love ten years later!
This beautiful coyote arrived neutered and behaving like the family pet, thus the photo opportunity when he arrived. It's a great photo, but unfortunately it displays a crime against wildlife. He was given time to bond with wild coyotes and released, but eventually approached people and was shot out of fear. It was a lesson for people, but he paid for it with his life.
